Beşiktaş have shockingly acquired the services of Benfica star Rafa Silva on a 3-year deal. The Black Eagles' vice-president Hüseyin Yücel quietly secured the 31-year old Portuguese star's signature on Tuesday before bringing him to Istanbul. "Rafa" as he is commonly known as won the EURO's with Portugal way back in 2016 and has been one of the most important players for Portuguese Juggernaut Benfica over the past couple of seasons. Rafa can play on either wing or behind the strikes and is known for his dazzling speed, agility and dribbling ability aswell as being a common name on the scoresheet.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst arrived in Istanbul on Thursday while the first Summer signing, Gabriel Paulista, arrived in the city on Wednesday ahead of Gio's signign ceremony on Friday! The Black Eagles have started off the Summer in third gear but it's not just incoming news we'll be talking about in this episode! Beşiktaş are also moving on several players this Summer and among those players Gedson Fernandes might be the highest profile departure, as he is on the verge of signing with Russian club Zenit St.-Petersburg, likewise Bahtiyar Zaynutdinov is close to a move back to Russia as Beşiktaş and Zenit have agreed on fees for both players and it's now down to them to make the final decision on their future.

Beşiktaş finally have appointed a new permanent coach and he goes by the name of Giovanni van Bronckhorst! The 49-year old Dutchman was previously in charge of Feyenoord from 2015 until 2019, in this period he won 5 trophies with the Rotterdam based club including their first Eredivisie title in 18-years!

For just over a year from 2021 until 2022 he was in charge of Glasgow Rangers, where his most noteable accomplishments were reaching the finals of the 2022 Europa League final against Sevilla, reaching the Group stages of the Champions League the following season and lifting the Scottish cup.
