Beşiktaş remain perfect heading in to the International break following a 2-0 home win over a stubborn Sivasspor side thanks to a Ciro Immobile penalty goal and a late lob from Gedson Fernandes! On Thursday Beşiktaş emphatically trashed Lugano in the UEFA Europa League play-off round to edge out the swiss 8-4 on aggregate after a 5-1 win at the Beşiktaş Tüpraş stadium. Goals from Ciro Immobile (2), Gedson Fernandes, Rafa Silva and Salih Uçan. The goal for the visitors came from their striker Vladi.
Following our discussion on the match, we'll be diving in to Friday's UEL league stage draw in which Beşiktaş were paired with Eintracht Frankfurt, AFC Ajax, Maccabi Tel-Aviv, Olympique Lyonnais, Bodo/Glimt, Malmö, Athletic Club de Bilbao and FC Twente. Sinan, Kartal and Kaan give their uneducated predictions on how they think the Black Eagles will fair against these opponents and how many points they'll talley.
Finally we discuss the latest team news, such as Felix Uduokhai's arrival, Necip Uysal's injury and Omar Colley's departure.

We remember former Beşiktaş coach Christoph Daum who sadly passed away yesterday following a long battle with cancer at the age of 70. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones, may he rest in peace.
In less somber news, Beşiktaş are on the verge of signing Augsburg's 26-year old left footed central defender Felix Uduokhai. He is set to arrive in Istanbul tonight.
And finally, our captain Necip Uysal has suffered a devastating injury during training yesterday: he has suffered a cruciate ligament tear and is expected to be out for 6-9 months. Get well soon Kaptan!

Beşiktaş were halted to a 3-3 away draw against Lugano last night despite taking the lead twice and going 1-3 up. Gedson Fernandes silenced his critics once again with a stellar performance and a brace, while Al-Musrati scored the third goal for the Black Eagles. But it wasn't enough to put the game beyond the stubborn Swiss side, as Lugano fought back in the first half after going a goal down and even more impressively in the second half after going two goals down.
Kartal, Sinan and Kaan will have plenty to say on the result and will also look forward to next week's return leg in Istanbul on the 29th of August, JUDGMENT DAY! (If you get that, we can be friends)

Following last week's win in the Süper Lig season opener against Samsunspor, Beşiktaş have now secured all 3 points against Antalyaspor aswell in their first home game at the Beşiktaş Tüpraş Park! The Black Eagles prevailed despite finding themselves a goal down after less than a minute, following a misplaced pass by Ciro Immobile from the kick-off. Our Italian star striker didn't waste much time however as he scored a first half brace to turn the game on it's head. In the second half Antalyaspor scored early again but this time Rafa Silva dotted the i's and put the Black Eagles back in front. Antalyaspor found themselves going down to ten men later on following a horror challenge by Güray on Rafa and in added time Ernest Muçi scored the fourth coming off the bench on a sublime trivela assist by Cher Ndour. Kartal, Kaan and Sinan will recap the game and give their thoughts on the performance of the Black Eagles. Later in the episode we'll also have an exclusive interview with FC Biel's Sporting director Oliver Zesiger, who'll give us his insights on our Europa League opponents FC Lugano!

The Süper Lig is back after it's annual Summer hiatus and Beşiktaş had a tough away game against Samsunspor to open the season! With goals from Rafa and Gabriel Paulista plus a clean sheet, the Black Eagles managed to return to Istanbul unscathed, despite a very difficult game in very humid conditions on a poor pitch.
As for off the pitch news, there are several big transfer updates with Amir Hadziametovic joining Rizespor, Javi Montero being released and Chér Ndour arriving TONIGHT! A lot to talk about for Sinan, Kartal and Kaan.

Despite the terrible season that was 2023-2024, Beşiktaş ended it with silverware. That silverware gave them the right to compete in the Turkish Super Cup this past Saturday on August the 3rd against Turkish League champions and fierce rivals Galatasaray. While Beşiktaş were considered the underdogs heading in tot he game, the Black Eagles triumphed in emphatic fashion as they absolutely demolished their city rivals: 5-0. Thanks to a Ciro Immobile brace on his debut. But it wasn't just Immobile who stole the show on Saturday, that other big name debutant Rafa Silva was instrumental in Giovanni van Bronckhorst's tactical plan and stole the show with both his offensive and defensive contributions. The Portuguese wizard scored the 4th goal, was instrumental in the second and assisted the 4th, which was scored by 17-year old Mustafa Erhan Hekimoglu.

With the white jersey revealed on Tuesday we can finally do our first shirt review of the YouTube era of the podcast! Sinan, Kaan and Kartal will be live tonight to discuss the arrival of "KING CIRO" IMMOBILE, the four time Serie A topscorer and EURO 2020 winner with Italy arrives from Italian giants LAZIO ROMA where he's spent the past 8 years of his career. Immobile will sign a 2-year contract with the Black Eagles.
