Beşiktaş have a new boss and his name Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but the Norwegian was still watching from the stands on Saturday as the Black Eagles squandered two points against a 10-man Samsunspor side. The Eagles did show a clear reaction, for the first itme in a long time, to the presence of their new boss however but the ball simply didn't want to go thanks to an outstanding performance by goalkeeper Okan Kocuk and Samsunspor's determination.
Kaan, Kartal and Sinan will talk about OGS' arrival, the performance against Samsunspor and Solskjaer's first game in charge on Wednesday against Athletic Club de Bilbao in the Europa League.

Beşiktaş have booked their first win in the league since beating Fenerbahçe 1-0 at the Tüpras stadium on December 7th, 2024. This is also the first time the Black Eagles have booked back to back wins since late October 2024, when they beat Konyaspor on Oct 20th and Lyon on Oct 24th. The win came, despite a poor performance, thanks to two goals from Italian make: first Cher Ndour scored his first ever goal for the Black Eagles, after which Ciro Immobile socred his 10th league goal of the season. Bodrum struck back deep in to second half stoppage time, but fortunately an excellent Mert Günok was able to keep the points at home.

Beşiktaş have started off their cup groupstage campaign with an important win away at Sivasspor, which is only the second win for the Black Eagles in their last 10 games. Rafa Silva scored the only goal of the game, thanks to an excellent João Mário assist.
But we'll spending the bulk of our time today talking about the latest developments on the coaching front aswell as updates on the scout chef role.

It's been a week since the Beşiktaş presidential elections but very little seems to have changed. The Black Eagles are playing worse than ever and can count themselves lucky to come away with a point from their trip to Rize. Serdar Topraktepe is still at the helm, despite a dysmal record of 1 win, 2 draws and 3 losses in his 6 matches in charge. And we are still holding our collective breaths to find out who this mysterious "scout" was that Adali was teasing during his election campaign, let alone to find out who our new coach will be. All signs still point to Sergen Yalçin, but why has there been radio silence for nearly a week? Shouldn't this have been resolved the day after the elections?

Beşiktaş have closed out the 2024 calendar year with yet another loss of points, the Black Eagles could not get further than a 1-1 draw against Sami Ugurlu's Alanyaspor at the Tupras stadium. The visitors took the lead after just a few minutes, following yet another goal conceded on a set-piece. But Rafa Silva struck back near instantly to tie the game, in the remaining 80+ minutes of the match the Eagles coudln't find a second goal and dropped another 2 points.

Just when you thought things were looking up MIlhouse and the Black Eagles had finally started clawing their way out of the gutter in the Süper Lig, Beşiktaş somehow manage to sink to a new low by losing to (previously) winless -- bottom of the league -- Adana Demirspor. A team who hadn't only not won yet this season, they had only gathered a total of 2 points and scored only 4 goals this season. Somehow they manage to add a third of their goal total against the Black Eagles, in what was a pisspoor first half performance and a second half in which the Eagles were always on the back foot!

Beşiktaş gave away what looked like an extremely promising start in the match against Bodø/Glimt after Gedson Fernandes had put the Black Eagles 1-0 up, thanks to an excellent assist from Bahtiyar Zaynutdinov. The Eagles looked solid for 35 minutes, but following an error from Ersin and Musrati leading to the equalizer, the second goal came too quick for the team to rebound. Chances were had in the second half, but Beşiktaş never restored the balance from the first 35 minutes.
